Another gift from Hubby

This is three in a row. Last week blouse from M&S, this week TV and to my surprise, he got me a pair of Top Havaianas. Actually, this is my third pair of Havaianas and he gave all of it. I’m just a proud wife to have a hubby like him. “Di ko nga alam kung ano ang nakain” I guess he is just enjoying some of his hard earned money from his biz, and he deserves that. He’s been very busy for the past months including weekends.

I just came from a lunch date with him. “O diba may pahabol pa”. “Di din sya nakatiis” He got himself a polo shirt at CELIO. *wink*

For all of these we are enjoying, I just keep on thanking the LORD for showering us abundant blessings, and we are giving Him back all the glory and praises.

New TV

Yes, you read it right. We purchase yesterday a super slim flat JVC TV. Last week when hubby was watching, he saw spark coming from the TV so he easily turned it off and never use it. We asked Chris (TV technician) to check the unit and he said that there was moist in the picture tube and need to be replaced. I really hate it, so I told hubby, if you will ask me, “I want it to be replaced”. Good thing, most of the appliance store is on sale. We got the TV in a reasonable price and even got a 2k discount co’z hubby paid it in cash.

Seeing her again

Tita Neth is Moms best friend during TELOF days. She is also the Mom of Assunta and Alexandra de Rossi [ showbiz ba? ]. Every time Tita Neth is here in manila, she will always pass by our house to visit Mom. This is the first time I’ll be seeing Tita Neth after a decade, she usually visits Mom on a weekday and with a short notice.

I had chitchat with Tita Neth and of course, took the time to ask her lot of things about showbiz, hahahaha!!! Marami akong nasagap na chizums. *wink* I also invited her to Moms up coming birthday celebration and she told me that she will bring along Asunta and Alex. I hope their schedule permits.

My kids' favorite toys!

I was tagged by Jody. I enjoy doing this.

Migs and Jolo are both home buddy. They prefer to stay in the house instead of playing outside the streets. Both boys start playing puzzles and then shifted to Blocks and became interested with electric powered bike. Now that they are grown up, they prefer playing PSP and other computer games.

Value in the doing

Behind every fortune is someone who has labored long into the night to make it real. Behind every important discovery is a person who often grew weary searching for it.

Behind the magnificent work of art is an artist who spent hour after hour, month after month toiling at tasks that were tedious and seemingly endless. Behind the beautiful, soaring music is a composer who carefully arranged each note, each pause, each crescendo into place.

Take heart. Your effort cannot help but pay off.

The fact is, your effort is the payoff. The fortune, the discovery, the work of art, and the music, as grand as they are, serve as mere tokens of the achievement.

The real achievement is in the achieving, and the real value is in the doing. Sincere, focused effort makes your life rich, even as you do it.

Make the effort and the reward is guaranteed. For the biggest reward is in the doing.

Water-Powered Car

Mr. Daniel Dingel, a Filipino, has been claiming that his car can run with water as fuel. Three decades ago when he built a car that uses electricity from a 12-volt car battery to split the ordinary water in to hydrogen and oxygen components. The hydrogen can then be use to power car engine. Many car companies all over the world express their interest on Mr. Dingel’s invention but officials from (DOST) have dismissed Dingel’s water-powered car as a hoax.

Please join below survey . . . .

He bought it for me

O N S A L E. Most of the branded shops are up on sale and I find good buys at M&S and ended up getting 3 tops. Now I have to think of something were I can use these tops, LOL!!! As usual after we heard mass last Sunday, the two boys convince Dad if we could hang out at TRINOMA, and Dad said yes. The kids are so excited, including me. We went first at the Bazaar located at the second floor of LandMark. I look for undershirts for the two boys and shorts for Kuya Migs. Afterwards, I saw M&S and can’t help it but to check what else I could buy. After a long search, I find this one

This is not actually, what I wanted. I not use to wear multi colored tops so I ask the sales clerk if they have plain color with the same style. Cecil, the sales clerk handed me a 3/4 Sleeve scoop neck tunic in midnight blue and I easily tried it and when hubby saw it, he said “maganda, bagay s’yo”. When I about to pay Cecil told me “Ma’am binayaran na po ni Sir”. Thanks Dad, I really like it. Sa uulitin!!!

Anything goes

you might want to join the survey.

Fill it with all you are

If you've been looking for an opportunity, this is it. If you've been waiting for the right time to move forward, that time has arrived.

On this day, you have the power to take action. In this moment, you have the ability to make a difference.

Hopes, dreams and wishes can be powerful and compelling, yet if they remain imprisoned within you, you'll never know their true beauty and value. Now is when you can take the very best of what's in you, and give it room to grow.

Reality is where you are right here and now. And the great thing is, you're able to shape that reality as it arrives.

So take the opportunity to shape the reality of this day to mirror the best that is within you. This is when your values, your visions, and your unique essence can be given expression and fulfillment.

The time is upon you to create and to experience life's richness in your own special way. Fill it with meaning and purpose, and fill it with all you are.

Gather the small opportunities

Quick success is nice when it comes. However, slow and steady success is even better, because it is repeatable, robust and sustainable.

Overnight success almost never happens. And in the rare event when it does happen, there's a dreadful fear that it will disappear as quickly as it appeared.

Slow success is confident, lasting success. Success earned over time is success that you can genuinely enjoy, appreciate and continue to build upon.

Instant success depends upon being at exactly the right place at precisely the right time. Slow success, on the other hand, makes a small yet significant opportunity out of each moment and every situation.

Instead of wishing for immediate results, work patiently for the more realistic, reliable and valuable results that can only come with time and commitment. Steadily spread your success over time, and it will always be yours.

Every minute of every day there is a way to be slowly and steadily successful. Gather the small opportunities as they come, and the rewards will be great indeed.

The detailed story behind the abduction of Ces Drillon together with Cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion, and Assistant Cameraman Angelo Valderama was never been told. July 05, 2008

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so tha t I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it w ith others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank You that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Introducing E-Jeepneys

E-Jeepney was launched in Makati City last Tuesday, July 1st. This technology is powered by a rechargeable battery and has a capacity of 12 passengers that can be ferry along the financial district of Makati. The initial route has a distance of three kilometers, targeting 50 units servicing the entire Makati City once the system is fully operational. I think the Philippine Government should look into this as a long-term solution for the continuous increase on fuel prices.

You are worth it

You are worth the trouble and effort required to make your life the best it can possibly be. There is so very much you have to express, to give, to experience and to contribute to the magnificent fabric of life.

You are worth the discomfort and frustration that you'll regularly need to get through. You are worth the pain that the world will sometimes offer.

For within you is the capacity for great joy and astounding achievement. Within you are beautiful and worthy dreams that long to be fulfilled.

You are one of a kind and you are filled with a driving purpose. You are worth whatever it takes to give that special purpose a lasting and meaningful expression.

Yes, the disappointments, inconveniences, pains, problems and annoyances will surely and steadily come. Yet they are indeed quite trivial compared to the precious possibilities that live within you.

Make whatever efforts necessary, endure whatever setbacks you must, move forward through whatever challenges may come along. For there is no question that you are worth it.

Read the Numbers on Your Fruit

I just found out the sticker labels on fruits actually tell you how the fruits were grown - whether organically grown or conventionally grown with pesticides and herbicides; and the genetically engineered fruits.

Conventional Fruit Labels
Four digits and does not start with 9
** mostly starting with the digit 4
Organic Fruit Labels
Five digits and starts with number 9
Genetically Modified Fruits
Start with the digit 8**

this is good to know because stores aren't obligated to tell you if a fruit has been genetically modified (grrr....)Okay, so if you come across an apple in the store and it's labels 4922, it's an conventional apple grown with herbicides and harmful fertilizers. If it has a sticker 99222, it's organic and safe to eat. If it says 89222, then RUN!!!! It has been genetically modified (GMO).

So next time you go shopping, remember make your choices and know how to avoid buying inorganic and GMO fruits.Shop Safe :)

Guilty Mom

Like many working Moms. I sometimes think of quitting my job to spend more quality time with my kids doing art projects and assignments. However, current situation will not allow me to quit. There are times that I feel guilty and completely overwhelmed. Recently, the boys have lots of assignment and I cannot go home early due to important report that I need to deliver before the end of the day. It is a mix emotions, I feel so distress and helpless until hubby called me at around 2pm and he is on his way home. Lucky me! to have hubby around, he usually does the things that I can’t attend to right away. That’s the advantage of having your own business, I guess.
