Off Track

You might be wondering why I have not post anything for the past 10 days. It’s due to tons of work assigned to me.

Our company is expanding and were opening many BCs and adding more retailers across the country, and it is my primary job to watch over that all necessary permits are in place. Not to mention that I’m also attending the audit of different government agencies including various meetings. This alone can attest how hectic my schedule was.

Barely 3 months will be 2009 and for company such as ours will have our budget season and this will add up to the entire task assigned to me. Wish me luck . . . *wink*

Update with Daddy Pepeng – he just finished the ten sessions of therapy last Monday and consulted Dr. Castro on what to do next. Dr. Castro advice us to continue five more sessions as he is still complaining for some muscle pain in his arms. Dad has improved a lot. Very seldom, we hear him complaining about the pain not like before. He even got back to his routine of walking back and forth the street. If you will remember in one of the tag, I received from Dez and Angelaze on “Spreading the Christmas Spirit Tag” I wish that my father will nurse back to health and I must say that less than a month, my wish is granted. It was actually an early Christmas Gift and to all my blogging friends who include him in their prayers, thank you very much.

The Kids – so busy in school, but really have grown up. Just imagine that I need to do my grocery every week and must haves are breads, spreads, cup cakes, biscuits and cookies. That is fine as long as they will stay healthy. Mahirap kasing magkasakit.

On hubby – busy with the business but admittedly we have been to a slack period and just starting to cope up again. I just hope that everything will be in order.

Always something

There is always something positive that you can do. On the best of days, or in the most challenging of circumstances, you can choose to move forward.

Conditions are not as bad as they seem, nor are conditions as good as they appear. Conditions are whatever you choose to make of them.

It's up to you to take the energy of this day and give it a specific direction. Though circumstances are constantly changing, you can always choose to move in the direction of your dreams.

Of course there are complications, challenges and obstacles. And you can use them all to create your own path forward.

You are in control of your thoughts and actions. That's a powerful place from which to operate, no matter what the outside circumstances may be.

There is always something positive, productive, enriching and fulfilling that you can do. Get up, get going, and make a difference in your own special way.

I lost track

Very seldom, I watch television. But for the last two months I get hooked in watching Kim SamSoon. I am not an avid Kapuso. Just so, happen that I like the story plus the characters that Eugene Domingo and Regine V. portrays, really makes me smile. But since I’m pre-occupied for the past weeks, I lost track of the story and only to find out last night that Sam Soon to marry Vincent and not Cyrus. Can somebody tell me what happen? I would appreciate it so much.

Ms. Tess

Just a few hours ago my ex boss Ms. Tess came here to visit us. Oh! How I really miss her. She has been my confidant, mother and generous boss during the times we were together. I am glad that up to now we remain to be friends including her family.

Call it my own

Express yourself!

Authentic

There is great power in truth. There is great power in authenticity.

It can be comforting for a while to overlook or deny who you truly are, in order to go along with the crowd. Yet it is a false comfort that never does last.

There is no person you can pretend to be who is as powerful and effective as the person you really are. No identity you might try to manufacture will ever work as well as the identity that has always been a part of you.

With authenticity, no effort is needed to maintain your sense of self. It flows easily and naturally through everything you do, freeing you and enabling you to live life fully.

You are real and you are unique and you are of great value. It is in your best interest to mine the magnificent treasure of the authentic you.

Do not merely go along with life. Be authentic, and you will make it great.

Spreading the Christmas Spirit Tag

Thanks Angelaze and Dez for this tag.
It’s so simple. Copy the photo below then write your blog and your wish this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF- LESS… something that money can’t buy… something that another person will treasure dearly.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children’s Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I’d be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I’d like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year

4. Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmasmtime, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren’s ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

5. life. love. family. work. travel: Christmas won’t be the same again for our family this year. my eldest sister and her family is migrating to the US. a few years ago, my elder sister migrated to holland with her two kids. my ate from holland might not come home this Christmas and would probably just spend Christmas with our ate in the US. i hope and i pray wherever we are, we will still feel the spirit of Christmas within our family. i also pray that my parents won’t get too much affected of this change. they’re already old and i’m afraid that loneliness might affect their health. i hope my brother and i and our own families could cheer them up in the coming days and could keep the usual happy Christmas spirit in our homes.

5. Me, Myself and I : I wish that I could donate something in a charity or for anyone who badly needs a help this year. And of course, WORLD PEACE!

6. In this Game of Life : I wish poverty will be alleviated to those who are suffering from it. I pray that kids all over the world, especially those who are supressed and abused to be spared from harm and sickness. And those who are affected of any wars will be spared from violence. We will continue with our yearly family tradition of spending time and our gifts to the babies and kids at Cribs Foundation.

7. Angel's Heaven: I wish I could sponsor a Mcdo party for the kids in Noah's Ark. I wish there will be no more orphans and all kids will be loved by their parents.

8. In Depth: It’s been a month now when my Dad experience a terrible pain in his shoulders and only to find out that his spondylitis recurs. One of my wish for this coming season is that my father may nurse back to health. Please include him in your prayers.

I want to share this tag with Nanay Belen, Mari-dee, Nona and Juliana

The goal ahead

If you find it difficult to deal with where you are, look ahead toward where you're going. Keep yourself focused on the goal at the end of the road, and you'll find the strength to move steadily down that road.

When you continue looking ahead, even the difficult steps will seem lighter. The burdens of the moment become much more bearable when you know there is a purpose behind them.

Your dreams can pull you toward them if you'll give those dreams a prominent place in your heart and your mind. Look ahead toward where you intend to go, and you'll find that each challenge makes you stronger.

When your eye is on the goal, the distractions won't be nearly so distracting. Your efforts will gain the immense power of focus when you're always clearly aware of where you're headed.

Your time, your energy, and your resources will get used no matter which direction you are looking. By choosing to look ahead, you get the highest return for the efforts you invest in your life.

Look ahead, toward the place you most want to be. The more you look, the faster you'll move forward.

Exam Week

My two little boys will be having their first round of long test. As always, I prepare some reviewers and exercises for them to answer. I reviewed Jolo first, we study Religion and Language and Arts. While I was scanning all his seatwork and quizzes, I suddenly felt happy and proud. Not all, but most of his work gained perfect scores and his been a consistent “twinkler” since he started schooling. I just hope that Jolo will continue performing well in school.

Migs, on the other hand will have his exams tomorrow for Reading and Religion. I ask him last night to browse with his notes so that we will not have a hard time tonight reviewing and noting some important events in Religion, like the feast day of the saints and their biography. Good thing that Migs is studious and he even have this sharp memory. Like Jolo, Migs is also a “twinkler” and even commented by her teacher that he is good in spelling.

I’m such a proud MOM to have kids like Migs & Jolo, truly they are a blessing to hubby and me. I just hope and wish that they will be able to perform well with their long test and may not forget all that we have reviewed.

Sweat it Out!

Be aware . . .
